It?s official, Polar has revealed its screenless fitness tracker, Loop. Loop, by fitness tracking company Polar is a $200 screenless wearable. This will be a subscription-free wrist wearable as per the company. Polar Loop wearable preorders opened on Wednesday, and shipping will start on September 10. The all-new Loop fitness tracker is a better version of last year?s B2B Polar 360 tracker.

Polar Loop screenless wearable
Similar to most of the fitness trackers, the Polar Loop wearable shall log steps, sleep patterns and daily activity patterns. As per Polar, the absence of a screen is a benefit rather than a limitation, presenting it as ?unobtrusive? and ?discreet.?
The Loop is a wearable wristband that has eight days of battery life with continuous use and stores four weeks’ worth of data. It syncs with the Polar Flow app to view stats and analyze sleep and training data, among other information.
Because it has no buttons, activities can be started in the app or passively with what the company calls “automatic training detection.”
Loop comparison
Polar differentiates itself with a one-time purchase fee unlike Whoop, the current leader in discreet wrist-based tracking with its Whoop 5.0/MG platform. Other subscription free alterative is Amazfit, which introduced its Helio Strap earlier this year.
Polar?s Loop review
There is an existing established market for screenless wearables with devices like the Whoop 5.0 wristband and smart rings such as the Oura Ring 3 leading the way.

Loop is a discreet, 24/7 health and fitness companion that can be worn alongside a traditional, ?dumb? watch on the opposing wrist. The button-less design is capable of automatic workout tracking and eight days of battery life. It also technically can complement a Polar sports watch like the Vantage V3 or just-released Grit X2, filling in the gap between workouts in a more comfortable form factor.
Polar?s Loop feature
The Polar Loop is powered by the brand?s Precision Prime optical heart rate sensor, enabling the typical suite of tracking insights. This includes advanced sleep and recovery analysis, like SleepWise that helps with predicting the daytime alertness and Nightly Recharge.
Loop can tap into its Training Load Pro system to monitor strain during workouts which is similar to Garmin?s Training Status/Load features, or Whoop?s Strain assessments. However, there?s no built-in GPS here, so you?ll need to hand off to a Polar watch or take your phone for distance and location tracking.
Polar Loop price
Priced at $199.90/?179.90/£149.50 Polar Loop is available for pre-orders from Polar?s official website, shipments scheduled to begin on September 10.
Polar Loop color option
The Polar Loop will be available in the colors greige sand, night black and brown copper. If any additional band colors needed it shall be chargeable at $30 each.
With a clear value proposition Polar presents Loop a discreet, screen-free wearable that combines its trusted sports-science accuracy with Whoop-like simplicity, bonus subscription-free.
