CMF, from sub-brand Nothing, just came out with its first over-the-ear headphones, the CMF Headphone Pro. CMF Headphone Pro launch is as per the new plans to spin-off into a standalone subsidiary. The over-ear CMF Headphone Pro features like a multi-function roller control is similar to the over-ear Nothing’s Headphone 1. Though the design is different to Nothing’s polarizing boxy design, as CMF’s has soft curves with round earcups, cushions, and a well-padded headband.
The new device is offered in three colors and features interchangeable cushions. Key specifications include 40mm drivers, up to 40dB of Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), LDAC codec support, and a claimed battery life of up to 100 hours of audio playback.

Like Nothing’s first over-ears, CMF’s Headphone Pro eschew touch-sensitive panels for tactile buttons designed to be easy to find and discern. In addition to a round power/Bluetooth button on one side and a matching action button on the other that can be customized using the Nothing X app, the Pro features a multi-function roller for adjusting volume, controlling playback, and adjusting the presence of ambient sounds. They also include a unique control called the Energy Slider that quickly adjusts the Pro’s treble and bass balance without having to open Nothing’s app to make EQ adjustments.

The Headphone Pro include both a scroll wheel for adjusting volume and an Energy Slider for making EQ adjustments right on the headphones. The CMF Headphone Pro offer adaptive active noise cancellation that will automatically adjust the aggressiveness of the sound dampening based on the intensity of the ambient noise around you, but it does come with a big battery hit.

CMF says you can get up to 100 hours of playback with the Pro’s 720mAh battery fully charged, but that’s reduced to up to 50 hours with ANC turned on. It supports USB Type-C connectivity for both audio playback and charging. The headphones are advertised to deliver up to five hours of playtime with just five minutes of quick charging, while a full charge takes approximately two hours.

The CMF Headphone Pro are available starting today in the EU and UK. They shall be available in the US from October 7th, 2025. The Headphone Pro come in subtle dark gray, light green, and light gray color options, but it has replaceable $25 ear cushions that come in bright orange or light green.

CMF Headphone Pro is priced reasonably at $99 making them much cheaper than Nothing’s $299 Headphone 1 with more customizability.
