Serving up Some Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold Leaks for Your Enjoyment

New Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold leaks suggest that we’re getting battery upgrades and the first IP68-rated foldable on the market on August 20.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 has made its debut, and audiences have now turned to the Pixel 10 Pro Fold leaks to see if Google is planning to match up to its capabilities with its next fold phone. From what we’ve seen of the Pixel 10 Pro rumors, it does not appear that Google is chasing the thin-is-in trend that other major players, like the Honor V5 Magic, Oppo Find N5, or even Samsung’s latest release, have in 2025. If the Pixel 10 Pro Fold specs aren’t all about the size of the device, then what are they about?

Leaks from Android Headlines indicate that the upcoming device is actually set to feature a slightly larger cover screen, a bigger battery, and an improved water and dust resistance rating that would be the first for a fold phone. Early rumors around the Pixel 10 lineup had suggested that the devices would be announced next month on August 20, with a full launch on August 28. Today, Google just confirmed that this was indeed the schedule for the Made by Google launch event.

Pixel 10 Pro Fold Leaks Have Fans Excited About the Made By Google Event

The Google Pixel 10 series is set to make a debut on August 20, 2025. The launch should bring a few different options for smartphone buyers to peruse through, with the Pixel 10 Pro Fold being the most advanced and expensive release of the lot. In the announcement invite shared with the media, Google also stated that it’s set to release some smartphones, watches, buds, “and more,” but we have no insight into what the additional releases could be.

The “more” could just be a reference to more updates on apps, tools, and software releases, but the Google I/O event earlier this year gave us a healthy dose of all of these categories.

Regardless, the new Pixel Buds are an interesting update considering Google hasn’t necessarily made a decent mark on the category with its previous products so far, but we’re excited to see if some impressive upgrades are waiting for us on the other side of the announcement. For now, we have our eyes focused on the fresh leaks surrounding the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

Pixel 10 Pro Fold Rumored Specs—Display and Design

The upcoming Pixel Fold phone is expected to feature the 3nm Tensor G5 SoC and offer 16GB of RAM supported by 256GB / 512GB / 1TB of storage. It should also showcase a 6.4-inch cover display outputting 3,000-nit peak brightness. The minor increase in the cover screen is expected to be a result of thinner bezels and a smaller gap between the cover display and hinge.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold’s water resistance is also gaining some attention as it is expected to be the first foldable with an IP68 rating. This is a win for fold phone durability, even if it isn’t a novel one for smartphones.

The design of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is unlikely to change very significantly, and we also expect to see the same camera array on the new version of the smartphone. This means you can expect a 48 MP main lens, a 10.5MP ultrawide lens, and a 10.8MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, along with a 10 MP selfie camera on both the inner and outer screens.

The Pixel 10 Fold Battery Is Set for an Upgrade

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold rumors also suggest that it will have a 5,015 mAh battery, which is an upgrade from the 4,650 mAh one on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The charging capacity is also set to increase from 21W to 23W wired charging and from 8W to 15W wireless charging with Qi2 support.

The increase in battery without a parallel increase in smartphone size is a welcome upgrade, but we have to wonder if it gives users enough of a reason to invest in the new foldable.

Are You Excited for the Release of Google’s New Foldable Phone?

The improved battery and durability mentioned in the Pixel 10 Pro Fold leaks are two reasons to be excited about the smartphone’s release, but they aren’t necessarily convincing enough as selling points. With the camera, design, and display largely staying the same, it’s the OS upgrades that will determine whether you invest in a new Pixel phone or not, and this isn’t a compelling argument, despite the promised Material 3 Expressive redesign.

Google could make a good case for itself when pitted against competitors, especially with the durability factor added in, so we’ll wait for its release to give our final thoughts on the smartphone. Until then, we’ll be on the lookout for more leaks and rumors surrounding Google’s product releases.
